Polenta: corn flour

Polenta or corn flour: the sacred food of the Incas, Mayas and Aztecs and very popular in Italy today. And with reason because it is not only very nutritious, it also has a pleasant taste. It contains the main groups of nutrients: proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber and it is especially rich in carbohydrates.

It is recommended for infants because it is easy to digest even for the most delicate stomachs. It is also very low in fat and has no cholesterol. Note that the ecological and integral polenta is yellow.

Polenta can be incorporated into the diet in many ways. Here we propose to use it as an accompaniment. We cooked the polenta so that it became thick, then we cut it into slices and bathed with coconut oil. Very tasty!
